Cold Forge supplies British Steel steel sleepers manufactured in Scunthorpe, UK, for Australian rail renewal, maintenance and project applications.

Used internationally and supplied into Network Rail in the UK, the British Steel sleeper range provides Australian rail owners, contractors and maintainers with an established steel sleeper option for durable track support, constrained-access works, legacy sleeper replacement and selected renewal applications.

Cold Forge has supplied approximately 50,000 steel sleepers into Australian rail applications and supports customers with product selection, documentation, availability and supply against relevant network and project requirements.

Cold Forge Steel Sleepers have completed a 3M cyclic load test in accordance with AS1085.17 and are compliant.

Fastening options

Cold Forge steel sleepers can be supplied with fastening systems to suit the relevant network, rail section and project requirements.

Available configurations include:

Pandrol FASTCLIP assemblies, which can be pre-installed to support faster site installation.
Pandrol e-clip assemblies, supplied for on-site assembly where preferred or required.
Insulated sleeper assemblies, where electrical isolation is required for the application.

Fastening selection should be confirmed against the applicable rail profile, sleeper design, network standards, installation method and project specification.
